Trekking in Laos
Laos is the least developed and most enigmatic of the three former French Indochinese states. After two decades of isolation from the outside world, this landlocked, beautiful and sparsely populated country is enjoying peace and stability
Discover the fascinating world of Northern Laos with this trek This unique excursion is designed for the intrepid and open-minded traveler with a keen sense of adventure and eagerness to participate in sustainable tourism. Trekking deep into the highlands, participants get to experience ethnic hill tribe culture in its rawest and most authentic forms amidst sweeping scenery of verdant vegetation growth and cascading waterfalls.
With over half of this landlocked country densely forested, and 70% of it mountainous, it is hardly surprising that a profusion of rare flora and over 1,200 species of wildlife finds a home beneath its tropical canopy.. Our trek starts in the Laos Northern province of Luang Prabang. The province is mountainous, and home to large numbers of minorities. The area is populated by a variety of different ethnic Hill Tribes, such as Khamu, and Hmong, . After trekking here we will go down by boat and road to the former capitol of Laos, and now a World heritage site
